PROBLEMS THAT MAY ARISE FOR YOU, AND THEIR SOLUTIONS
PROBLEM: You can be oversensitive and something of a clinging vine which may cause you to harbor imaginary hurts and slights, this can make for highly unsettling conditions with your spouse.
SOLUTION: Be sure that the love you are expressing is not simply your need to hang own to someone for moral support, and if necessary, you should seek professional help in order to overcome this negative, clinging aspect of your personality.
PROBLEM: One of your biggest personality flaws, next to neediness, is the habit of being so self absorbed that you sometimes fail to notice what others are doing and accomplishing in their lives, you feel shut out and jealous if a family member has more success than you do.
SOLUTION: You should make a special effort to change this in yourself by forcing yourself to rejoice over their good fortune and when you do this you find that it will eventually become a habit and you as well as they will be happier for the change.

They are more hot, strong and powerful on bed. They dont feel shame to ask u for sex either male or female. They can sometimes come on too strong, and get impatient when their needs are not met soon enough, but you may appreciate their direct sexual expression, and their openness in bed. These are most turned on when their partner thinks they are gods. Although they will take care of their partners in bed, their natural inclination is to get off themselves. Their pride in their lovemaking compels them to try to be the best in bed.. They can be quite possessive and jealous, although they'll often try to hide this fact. In fact, they may put their partners to the test every now and again. They are attracted to inequality in sexual scenarios. It is hard for these people to separate love and sex. Even their most erotic sexual fantasies are infused with love and affection.

CANCER CURE AND PREVENTION: THE ONLY WAY FORWARD
Cancer is no death sentence. Cancer is curable, cancer is reversible and cancer is preventable. Yes say I said so.
After this interaction, you need not fear cancer again.
Cancer is all about lifestyle and dietary. What you eat. What you fail to eat and the environment you operate all goes a long way in determining if you will develop cancer or not.
Actually I can hear a lot of people saying that cancer is hereditary, this is not hundred percent correct, cancer is 20 percent hereditary and 80 percent controllable, that is to say you have 80 percent chance of preventing or reversing cancer.
Why we are losing the war against cancer are many folds, some of them are:
Most of us are not willing to entertain new ideal and discoveries. We believe as it was in the begin and ever shall be.
The institution of science ignoring or refusing to see any possibility or promise of using natural method to cure or prevent cancer.
We are not being told the truth about simple affordable ways to cure or prevent cancer.
The cancer industry is surrounded by ruthless pharmaceutical companies who are not interested in finding cure or prevention strategies but are only interested in profit maximization.
One thing we all need to know is that cancer never just sneaks up on people and strike them down. It takes a long time and great deal of abuse and neglect of the body for cancer to occur. From the very first stage to the seventh stage can actually take many years.
By knowing the seven stages and their warning signals, you can be in a position to take charge of your situation.
Do you know that chemotherapy and Radiations are poisons, yes! They poison and kill both cancer cells and healthy cells because they are carcinogenic.
Like I said earlier, cancer is a question of diet and lifestyle. That is to say your diet and your environment are contributory factors in determining whether you will develop cancer or not.
Research have discovered that when you eat a lot of sugar, cancer spreads easily because the walls of the capillaries become permeable and the cancer tumor can then spread through the cell wall, which is suppose to be protected.
The truth is cancer tumors have been discovered to be sugar absorbers and since cancer tumors grow best in anaerobic environment (lack of oxygen) and thrives best in the presence of high level of carbohydrates. From practically common sense all you need to prevent cancer is the ability to gag the tumors with the diet that increases the supply of oxygen and deprives them of the carbohydrates (sugar and starch) they love so much.
The gospel truth is that our population is naturally misinformed health wise. Outdated nutritional concept encourages us to feed our children with a diet that promotes premature growth and rapid maturity.
Do you know that early puberty increases our risk of certain cancers, especially, breast and prostate cancer?
However we need to delve into the prevention of cancer proper.
Cancer actually can be cured and is also preventable.

Jupiter aligns with Neptune today, ensuring that whatever happens in the next while, will be blown into unreal proportions. Jupiter (following bliss) and Neptune (faith) both lift us up to ecstatic heights, but without grounding, they may elevate us into strange air clouds of hysteria or mass delusion. In her blog post, Surrealism of Size, Jessica Murray writes that the mass mind has blown a fuse. The premier symptom of the transit of Neptune (confusion) over the Sibly Moon (the American people) is the fact that the US populace is staggering around in a daze while their national treasury is being emptied out.
This Jupiter-Neptune conjunction also opens doors to grand gestures that show a belief (Neptune) in an idealistic vision (Jupiter). It may trigger epiphanies about how you can be part of the solution in some way. Aquarius is the sign of the humanitarian, and perhaps this will bring on one of the waterbearer's quantum leaps. A collective leap of faith toward an ideal....perhaps through some breakthrough technology that demonstrates our Oneness.
Great things happen when out-of-this-world visions (Jupiter-Neptune) are brought down to Earth. It might mean finding out how to get off the grid, or intense experimentation with visualizing what you want to create. The body is our bridge to staying grounded. So if you're feeling dazed and lost, go barefoot or get in your body with a sensual treat. You could pinch yourself to make sure you're still there.

Really guys? Because I see something completely different here. I see a healthy but fair woman trying to get another persons head between her legs, gently and without force, in the hopes that that person would make a move on her. Hey, she's just playing the odds here and if she's not attracted to the person she's praying over, or whatever the heck you call this non-sense, then she'll simply use a different position or no-touch meditation guiding practice non-sense. That or she's just scamming someone out of their cash. You guys are probably all nice, but if your on a website like this, I'm making what I think is a nice suggestion to you. This stuff your spending time on, it's just an imaginary fantasty, probably because the real world just isn't good enough for you, which is fine, thats a hard thing to face and it's very true for a lot of people but I can tell you from experience, believing lies and delusions and fairy tales is not healthy for your thought processes and that is a real thing. Thats something that should be important, and to play make believe with it, whether you were raised into it or you chose it for yourself is seriously playing with fire. Kindness can be learned and cultured, so can new ways to think about situations and people in your life to get better perspective and coping skills, and so can relaxation techniques as well as normal healthy exercise, diet and lifestyle but the rest of this is serious mumbo jumbo, and while I'm sure it has the potential to be enjoyable, it's false, and the people you meet in your irrational spiritual journey of randomness that you can read anything you want into as you see fit, are all delusional. Stop lying to yourself, it's just not going to help in the long run, you can quote me on that.

There's now some talk that the global surprise that is Susan Boyle was partly staged. But there's no denying the otherworldly force of Susan Boyle's voice, especially on that day, April 11th, when her life changed forever. She came out of the blue, and her voice was a kind of current of healing. Eileen Grimes ties this to transiting planets in the awakener Aquarius (Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune), all at or near Susan's Midheaven (point of release).
There's the woman herself, tapping into her own force of nature in that moment. And there's the collective reaction to her voice and story. Writes Eileen, Add to this fact was that this trio was in Aquarius - most of what happened was internet-related; in the space of only a few days after the broadcast, at least 20 million-plus had seen the video of her performance on British TV. On Facebook, alone, her fan sites were multiplying - from my early calculations - about 1,000 or more per hour. This event shows how speedily event waves move through these days, as connected as we are; in this case, it was a surprise...something authentically uplifting.

Venus and Mars meet in Pisces today, for a Spring fling that begins in a restless fog. The chaotic, accelerator Uranus is close by, carrying us away in rapidly forming emotional tsunamis. Deep feelings are being woken up, and Mars gives them a edgy charge. Relationships with friends and lovers become more intense, with epiphanies left and right that awaken us to who we are.
It's a conjunction at the last degree of Pisces, 29, and to me, that evokes completion of old lives and ways of being. Many are doing a kind of life review, resolving the past, and releasing ties that have come to a natural end. There's a new emphasis on shared purpose with both friendships and romantic liasons. And in Pisces, there's the potential for love and lust -- another way to say strength, vitality, the life-force -- unite in a mystical way. As Shelley Ackerman writes in her Weekly Update, passion without consciousness or understanding is often dangerous. We can give in to raw impulses that go against our true values, or we can merge the receptive Venusian love vibe with Mars' passion.
When everything around us changes, we can lose our sense of Self. The breakdown, or dissolution, is a Piscean theme, that holds within it perils and possibilities. It'll help if we can keep from judging ourselves and others too harshly, with all the psychic debris flying around. On Friday, the Mars-Venus (in Aries) pair are square to Pluto, which raises a risk of impulsive, extreme acts. As Ackerman advises, it's best to avoid crimes of the heart, or poison texting-emailing...anything done in the heat of the moment. Chances are, we'll see the true nature of our relationships, as this wild ride continues through June.

I took one look at the baggy, watery eyes of my double Pisces tax-preparer and knew I was on my own. Five dogs met me at the door, including a brand new puppy she recently found on the street. Her mile-a-minute rambling about how busy she's been, let me know she's dangerously low on "Me Time." A half-eaten pizza in the box was there on the office table, and her Internet was not working. On top of that, she had overbooked, causing a high noon situation between me and another last-minute taxpayer, also clutching a huge binder full of loose receipts and 1099s.
As a Cancer Sun with Pisces-rising, I know how to spot a fellow water sign in extreme overwhelm. There's a fretful look that says, "I need a long soak," as she goes into the latest drama. I thought back to last year's sit-down at her kitchen table; I got an earful about "the ex" and her having to get a restraining order. Being sensitive myself, I had left totally drained of my life force. So, the discombobulation this year gave me an escape hatch, and I fled.
As I drove home, the Tornado warning siren went off; as I looked around the sky for a twister, it got me thinking about chaos. If we intuitively hear the warning that we're approaching someone's swirly drama, we can make the choice to get out of the path. I'm talking mostly about acquaintances, encounters with strangers and getting swept up in the mood of a crowd. In these times when balance is so precarious for us all, a little self-protection can make or break how your day goes. It means doing my own taxes, here at the 11th hour, a small price to pay for some calm in the eye of the storm. In this image, I don't see a woman pulling her hair out; I see her visualizing deductions. Good luck to all my fellow late filers out there.

Everyone wants a great, long-term relationship with the perfect person. But this goal has escaped many of us for too long. And others may have the ingrediants good relationships are made of, but are uncertain about the future with their love one.
Enter Zodiac matches. Finding your astrology match can give you the insight you need into your relationship questions (without having to hire a private investigator).
But before you go thinking that astrology matches have all the answers and perfect Zodiac matches are straightforward, you have to know that determining your astrology match isnt that simple.
First off, when you consult astrology for Zodiac matches, you dont get information such as the history of the man youve been wondering about, or if a woman youre interested in is married. Secondly, there are different levels of complexity to horoscope matches, starting with basic Sun sign matching and moving up to full birth chart comparisons.

How ingenious of our government-44 million Americans are now considered obese-so the IRS is considering an income tax credit for slender people, while "the people ruining our health care economics (fat people) would pay the standard tax". Suggestion comes from Eric Topol, chief of cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic. But your ass he's thin?
What is that going to do? It gives a tax break to the WRONG PEOPLE. Like tax breaks for the rich have made us all richer right?
So because the 'seatbelt campaign' worked, and the 'anti-smoking' campaign worked, they think they can legislate us into thin.
Why does this anger me I wonder? And why do I think it won't work?
They want to up the taxes on fatty foods, (not manufacturing it but on BUYING it)
but also slap a big tax on 'sedentary' living like movie tickets, video games and DVD rentals. Not joking folks-25 states are considering more than 140 bills aimed in that direction. Lose weight or they will make us.
On the other side of the sea...France is trying to make it illegal to promote extreme thinness. GOOD ON THEM!
What's going on folks? So they want to legislate us into thin by making it costly to do the things that the marketing mogels have hypnotized us into. First get them addicted, then up the cost and tax it.
Why does that sound familiar? Oh YEA! That's what they did with cigarettes. And alcohol.
And now if it worked before, let's do it for fat foods, sugars, video games, colas, candy bars, movies and DVDs...all things we have been heavily commericaled into. We've been marketed INTO them, so now let's penalize them. Stupid people! :) Yeah it worked before.
Maybe it will work. I mean, I do wear my seatbelt now. Course, mostly because my stupid car buzzer won't shut up until I DO click in. And I don't want to get a $50. ticket from a cop who has nothing else to do but watch out for illegal non-seatbelt wearers? But yes, the public IS teachable.
So they have ANNOYED me into compliance. How could this work for food I wonder? Hmmmm
Fat police? Cops on the look out for obese drivers and we could get slapped with a moving violation. Instead of speed guns to catch speeders, they could have scales in the trunk of their cars and they could arbitrarily pull cars over and if they have fat foods, wrappers, and are obviously under the influence of fat foods, pulled out of the car and weighed and if they aren't within the American Standards, fined. Or would this be considered profiling? Oh wait-isn't ALL of this profiling???
It could be illegal to eat and drive. (wow-there go all those fast food restaurants GEARED to eating while we drive to save that preceious time) They might do studies to start showing 'scientifically' how dangerous it is to eat and drive to convince us NOT TO.
And I suppose the police would HAVE to be thin, wouldn't they?
It could work. I mean, they are right. It did for seatbelts. It has for drunk driving and speeding. I won't say it couldn't have merit.
Of course, following the philosophy of car builders, fridges will HAVE TO HAVE a warning bell installed that never goes off unless the fridge is closed, and if the fridge is open too long a hefty male voice will say "STEP AWAY FROM THE FAT ZONE". Too tough?
Fridge manufacturers can get a tax break for installing the warning bells for our own best good. it's their duty. It's a health risk. And if you are caught disconnecting your warning bell, there could be a fine.
They want to put warning labels on fast food wrappers like they have on packs of cigarettes and CDs with foul language. That's really curbed appeal I will say.
So I'm not one to only complain and point fingers at stupid things. I want to come up with solutions. Here are my solutions:
1. heavily tax commercials that are FOR fatty foods, fast food chains, donuts, colas, and candybars. Or better yet- BAN THEM like they did cigarette commercials. Oh wow-no one thought of that? And while we are at it-BAN commericals for movies, DVDs, rentals and all those things that "promote sedentary."
2. give a tax break for creating and promoting commercials that focus on a healthy lifestyle, and allow FREE advertising for raw, organic and fresh.
3. Schools that bring in 'real edible' foods (as a little 7 and 11 year old I just interviewed said) will also get a special tax break and healthy living promotion fund bonus for their schools.
4. Tax breaks to anyone losing 25 lbs+ in a year as a 'we support you' tax break, and the incentives to lose weight go UP. Positive motivation may actually work better than negative in this case, but hey, just a thought. And if they lose more the second year (not the same 25...na a a...but more) they get DOUBLE the tax break. I can see it now-people not wanting to lose too much in a year, holding it over for the next year so they can get their tax break.)
5. How about weight recording clinics that are set up to legally document weight loss for tax benefits. Maybe right there along at your accountants. EVERYONE Knows our accountants are honest. ( I can see a whole black market thin set up blooming already) You document your yearly weight when you file your taxes, rubber stamped by your accountant. If your weight is down, you are golden! Cha ching! Not doctors, because LORD knows fat people are already overburdening doctors (See Topol's comment above). This could be like getting your car inspected for emissions. Save the enviornment - lose weight and make it easy on mother earth when you walk lightly. hah.
6. They can have THIN ME tax breaks and THIN ME vacation clubs an THIN ME special conferences.
7. If you have a garden in your yard and you plant 'real edible food' TAX
EAK.
8. And if you plant real food and donate it to homeless shelters BIG TAX
EAK
9. If you've got ideas-let me hear em! I think we should get a list together and send them to our 'government officials' that seem to be talking out their butts while sitting on their hands.
10. EVERY package of PROCESSED food could have a warning label on it-not just fatty foods and clearly labeled with 'this product could be dangerous for your health" not just dangerous for your spreading ass.
11. EVERY package of meat and chicken has to put the % of steroids and chemicals in their product.
12. We would pass REAL truth in advertising laws so that (yesterday's post) companies can't falsely claim 'weight control' on their label when it really has MORE fat in it.
13.

Ovarian Cancer is a women's disease and it is on the rise. We as women have to take care of ourselves every single day. Even though no matter how much health food we eat and how much we exercise unfortunately, sometimes it's not enough.
Ovaries are reproductive glands that produce the egg. There is one ovary on each side of the uterus in the pelvis. The egg travels through the fallopian tube and fertilizes into a baby. Ovarian Cancer begins in the ovaries. Many tumors can develop in the ovaries. Most of these are non cancerous, they can be removed by removing part of the ovary, the tumor or the ovary itself. If it is a cancerous tumor it can spread throughout the body and can be more complicated.
Your ovaries have three kinds of tissue:
-Epithelial cells that cover the ovary. -Germs cells which are found in the ovary and develop into eggs that are released into the fallopian tube that are released every month. -Stromal cells which develops most of the female's hormones estrogen and progesterone.
Tumors are named depending on which cells the tumor came from. It could be benign (no cancerous) and cancerous. There three ways to tell what kind of tumor it is by checking all three of tissues.
-The Epithelial tumor covers most of the ovary. Most tumors that are found turn out to be this tumor. -The Germ cell tumor comes from part where the eggs develop in the ovary. -Stromal cell tumor comes from the connective tissue that holds the ovaries together.
Epithelial tumors usually do not spread and or lead to serious illness. Malignant tumors are cancerous and can spread to certain parts of the body. Noncanerous tumors are different from malignant cancer they do not grow into the connective tissue and to the stomach. The benign tumor can develop at a young age and even though it can be life-threatening, in most cases it is not. Epithelial ovarian cancer is called carcinomas. 85%-90% of ovarian cancer is epithelial. Here are the different types of ovarian cancer.
Fallopian tube cancer- Is very rare; it usually carries the same symptoms as ovarian cancer. It starts in the tube which carries the egg from the ovary to the uterus. The survival rate is about the same also.
Germ Cell Tumor- The germ cells form the eggs. Some tumors of this sort can be benign. Sometimes it can be life-threatening, only 5% of germ cell tumors are ovarian cancer.
Teratoma- Are germ cell cancers, they are the most common cancers. They usually affect women in their forties and teens, it is called a dermoid cyst, because it looks like skin. It can have different types of tissues like bones, hair and teeth. It can be removed by surgery.
Dysgerminoma- Is a common cancer as well. It affects women in their twenties and teens. It usually is cancerous; some do not grow or grow to fast. About 75% of patients have surgery to remove the ovary if it has spread.
Stromal Tumors- Are mostly found in women in their fifties. These tumors make up about 5%-7% of ovarian cancer. 5% of young girls develop this tumor. The symptoms are abnormal vagina bleeding, something like a period occurring after menopause. This happens because the tumor may cause female hormones; it can also cause breast development and early menstruation in girls.
Ovarian Cysts- Are a build up of fluid in the ovaries. They are usually not life-threatening in women that are ovulating and not going through menopause. If it produces while you are going through menopause and in a girl who has not started having her periods being concerned maybe an option. Your doctor will want to do a check-up after your cycle if you have a cyst. The doctor might want to wait a few months to see if it will go away. The only way to tell if the cyst is malignant, they will have to take it out and examine it. Some cancers can be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, and medications.
Be healthy, know your body and get regular check-ups.

It is found that a mixture of honey and Cinnamon helps/cures/heals/has a positive effect (what's politically correct these days???) on many diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also accept honey as a 'Ram Ban' (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases.
Honey can be used without any negative side effects...ruling out a personal allergy. Locally produced honey is best as it is made from the pollens around you-so will have a more positive balancing affect within you, should you have allergies to pollens.
Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients. Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada, in its issue 1/17/95 has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists, and most of these we've posted before too, so it's nice to repeat it. Since this morning I had my medicinal dose of cinamon and honey, and have been enjoying it now for weeks, morning and evening, I'd say I can report from personal experience that it's a good thing!
HEART DISEASES:
Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack. Also those who have already had an attack, if they do this process daily, relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.
ARTHRITIS:
Arthritis patients may take daily, morning, and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If Taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half Teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, Out of the 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally Relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not Walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain. (don't make the water too hot or you will kill the live enzymes in the honey.)
BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a Glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.
CHOLESTEROL:
Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours. As Mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic Cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.
COLDS:
Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon Lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This Process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.
UPSET STOMACH:
Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears Stomach ulcers from the root.
GAS:
According to the studies done in India and Japan, it is revealed that if Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.
IMMUNE SYSTEM:
Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and Protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found That honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacteria and viral Diseases.
INDIGESTION:
Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.
INFLUENZA:
A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ' Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.
LONGEVITY:
Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Take four spoons of honey, one spoon of cinnamon powder and three cups of water and warm to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup, three to Four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age. Life spans also increases and even a 100 year old, starts performing the chores of a 20-year-old.
PIMPLES:

That's the message from Neptunian actress Juliette Binoche. With Mars in Pisces now through April 22nd, the currents of the universal imagination can be our motivation. And the divinely inspired Binoche (Sun-Mars-Mercury in Pisces) wants to touch and awaken (transiting Uranus in Pisces) the collective creative spirit!
In an interview with Japan Times, she says, I think that our life is here for us to try something. I'm here for a purpose and not to fall asleep. It's an awakening. There's an urgency. I don't mean I feel I am going to die soon, but an urgency of being where I am supposed to be. I'm put in this situation of being an actor, which is related to the public, and I need to connect to people's creativity. "Wake up you creators, wake up! Do things, paint, express yourself and make life possible, whether it's having children, whatever. Just wake up; it's time for you to do things." That's what I want to say.
Binoche is an actress, of course, and has a book of her own drawings and paintings out called Portraits in Eyes. The SF Examiner voted her among the Top Ten Spiritual Heroes (not in the religion business.) In her mid-forties, she's pushing past her own known limits to perform in a modern dance production now touring in Asia. She tells an online Korean english site, Of course I was afraid and discouraged because my body wasn't trained for this. But it was fun exploring different forms of expression. I trust my body when I act and draw. I always thought I had potential in dance, but never thought I would make a worldwide seven-month tour.
When asked what is her motivation (Mars) to do all this creating, she said, I want to learn loving. Mars becomes the gentle warrior in Pisces, ready to act to bring balm or unity to a situation. It heightens the imagination and dreams, making these parts of our lives instigators for the new. If you're overwhelmed these days, it can make you want to "check out" or just stay dazed and confused. Mars in Pisces can be passive, as we react to emotional drama around us, or become victims to what's happening.
The webbots predicted that many of us would be time stunned or time shocked from overwhelming events. Having a creative outlet of any kind is a way to channel all the intensity of the times we're living in. You could call it a life preserver to keep from drowning in the chaos. And one way to document your own experiences in this time of awakening and great change.

Gardasil: The HPV Vaccine
The vaccine, Gardasil, is a shot given to prevent certain strains of cervical cancer caused by HPV. HPV stands for Human papillomavirus. The vaccine offers protection against the four most common strains of HPV; types 6, 11, 16 and 18. Types 16 and 18 account for 70% of cervical cancers while types 6 and 11 account for 90% of all cases of genital warts. It is given in three shots over a period of six-months. The vaccine is recommended for young girls ages 11 and 12 but is also recommended for girls and women 13 to 26 who have not yet been vaccinated or have not yet completed the series of shots for the vaccine.
This vaccine is important in the saving of women's and young girls' lives. Genital HPV is a virus that is most often passed on through sexual contact. Though most will not know it, most sexually active people will get the virus at some point in their life. There is somewhere around 40 strains of HPV that can infect both men and women. Most strains cause no symptoms or harm and go away on their own. There are a few strains that can be deadly and cause cervical cancer in women as well as other genital cancers, while other strains of HPV can cause genital warts in both men and women.
It is ideal for females to receive Gardasil before they become sexually active and may be exposed to the virus. However, this is not to say that those who are already sexually active will not benefit from receiving the vaccine. Most females are not infected with all strains of HPV and therefore will still be protected from those types of the virus to which they have not yet been exposed. Both young girls and women do not need to receive a Pap or other tests before receiving Gardasil. Testing is currently underway to find out the effectiveness and safety of the virus on those over the age of 26. It has yet to be found if the vaccine is effective in men or young boys. If Gardasil is found effective, the vaccine may help to prevent genital warts as well as both penile and anal cancer.
Gardasil is highly effective in the prevention of HPV. Due to the fact that the vaccine will not fully treat HPV, the vaccine has little effect on the virus in women who have already been exposed to the disease. Research is being done to test how long the vaccine lasts and if there may be a need for a booster shot later down the road for those who are receiving the vaccine. The vaccine is not effective in protecting from all strains of HPV, rather it protects against the most common strains of cervical cancers, so it is very important that women continue their regular checkups and screenings. Gardasil has been approved by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention as effective and safe. Side effects of the shot are typically soreness of the injection site, fever, nausea and dizziness as well as other rare side effects.
By contacting your health care provider, you can get information about coverage for the vaccine. Call the phone number on your medical card to learn more about co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, or other limitations. Most large insurance providers will cover the cost of the vaccine which is about $125 per dose, totaling about $375 for all three shots in the series. Those who are younger than 18 years of age may still be able to get Gardasil for free through the VFC (Vaccines for Children) program, although certain criteria and restrictions may apply. Merck, the maker of the vaccine, offers a vaccine assistance program to women who want to receive Gardasil but cannot afford it. In order to qualify for the program, women must be at least 19 years of age, uninsured, reside in the United States (need not be U.S. citizen), and have an annual income less than $20,800 for individuals, $28,000 for couples or $42,400 for a family of four. Texas, New Hampshire and South Dakota as well as other states have made the cost of the vaccine free or at low cost.
Women should continue regular cancer screenings and follow-ups. pap smear can detect cell changes in the cervix before they turn into cancer. The HPV test can detect HPV on a woman's cervix, which can be done along with a Pap. There is no cure for HPV so the vaccine is one of the best ways to prevent cervical cancer as well as using protection. The vaccine is not to be used in place of other contraceptive devices. If a person is infected, it may take weeks, months or even years to see signs or symptoms and should be addressed right away. The choice is yours to make. Protect yourself.

Today, an estimated 5 million Americans are infected with Hepatitis C - and most of them don't know it. That is 1 out of every 50 people.....and some will be people you know. One out of every 10 Veterans is infected, 62% of Vietnam Vets have it. Three people with Hep C die every day, two of them are Veterans.
Hepatitis C is considered an epidemic and is now killing more people than Aids/HIV...30,000 a year and it's going to get much worse. The number of adults seeking liver transplants for hepatitis C infection will skyrocket in the next 20 years. An estimated 10,000 to 30,000 Americans die from this disease each year. Deaths are estimated to increase because of the increasing risk of infection, and the resulting cirrhosis, portal hypertension, thrombocytopenia, bleeding from varices, and liver cancer. Five years ago, 20% of hepatitis C patients were candidates for liver transplantation and today the number has increased to about 50%.
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), by the year 2008, the cases of decompensation will increase 279%, liver-related deaths 223% and the need for liver transplantation 528%. Considering that we don't have enough organs now and people die on transplant lists, far too many of those precious lives will be lost. For those fortunate enough to find a donor, the process costs roughly $300,000 during the first 3 months, and can be painful and incapacitating. Add to this the thousands of dollars for anti-rejection drugs and the costs of aftercare more frequent visits to health care facilities. The other option, debilitating and woefully ineffective chemo, runs into the tens of thousands of dollars and more and has success rates in the mere single digits
Hepatitis C is called the dragon, because it sleeps for many years and one day, suddenly, it wakes up and ends your life (people who got infected 20-30 years ago may just now find out). The Hepatitis C virus is very old and very smart.....it doesn't kill quickly like the old HIV virus or like the Ebola virus. Hepatitis C has chosen to infect the liver. The ONLY organ capable of regeneration. It simmers for many years, keeping its host alive. It is so smart it uses our own immune system against us.
Nobody knows exactly where it came from. During World War II, an unlicensed yellow fever vaccine was released to immunize our troops who were going to the South Pacific. To stabilize the vaccine, scientists used serum from Australian Aboregenese, hoping they were immune to endemic illnesses and that immunity would then be passed to our troops. Years later, it was discovered that 50% of the Aboregenese had Hepatitis B and C. A study done by the Veteran's Administration later PROVED that over 320,000 of our troops were infected. Thousands of them fell ill with hepatitis and hospitalized or quarantined in their barracks. When they came back home, they were encouraged to donate blood. A monster, with the power to mutate, had just been unleashed.
Hepatitis C is transmitted through blood only. That means blood transfusions with contaminated blood before 1992 (because blood was not screened), tatoos, body piercing, needle sticks, IV drugs with contaminated needles, manicures that made you bleed (instruments are not sterilized), sharing razors, toothbrushes, anything that could pass infected blood to your blood. Even doing IV drugs once could have given you the virus or sharing straws with someone that had nasal sores or bleeding.
A mutating virus for which there is no vaccine. It has many strains and substrains. By the time they figure something about it, it's already mutated into something stronger. 70-75% of people have genotype 1, the strain most difficult to treat. 95% of Veterans who have Hep C have genotype 1. The success rate with traditional modern medicine treatment is only about 50% and treatment is a whole year and side effects from the medications are cruel. For Veterans, success rate is only 19%....and sadly, even that treatment is approved for only 11.8% of them.
The Hepatitis C virus causes diabetes (40% of genotype 1 have diabetes), it affects the brain causing depression, it causes lung problems, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, Sjogren's, cardiac problems, skin problems, arthritis, stomach problems, anemia, fatigue, and of course, cirrhosis. After cirrhosis comes DECOMPENSATION. The liver stops working, the skin and sclera become yellow, your belly looks like you're pregnant, you're unable to process protein, you get anemic, confused, the kidneys stop working and many bleed to death.
Many of the people that are infected already have severe liver damage and don't know it....and they are going to be looking at herbal products to treat the symptoms they are having. What many people do not know is that there are at least three excellent inexpensive supplements that can be used for hepatitis. First of all, an aqueous extract of the oleander plant made according to the directions in the book "Cancer's Natural Enemy" (written by the author of this article) has had excellent results in treating hepatitis-C (the extract, commonly called "Oleander Soup", is best known as a remedy for treating cancer).
Secondly, the product Colloidal Silver has been used by a great many people who testify that it is second to none in treating hepatitis.
There is also an excellent herbal supplement treatment regimen for hepatitis that is all natural, inexpensive and extraordinarily effective. Most people in the United States are not familiar with the Berkson Clinical Study on Hepatitis-C, a study that was never published in the United States, despite Dr. Berkson's impressive credentials that include Rutgers, the Max Planck Institute and the Center for Disease Control (CDS) in Atlanta.
It has been suggested that the real reason the study has never been published in the states is due to the fact that liver transplants are highly profitable for mainstreams medicine, costing over $300,000 in the first three months alone, plus many thousands of dollars afterwards for anti-rejection drugs and aftercare.
In Doctor Berksons study, which was 100% effective in a limited study on advanced hepatitis-C patients who were facing either transplants or chemo, he used a combination of three commonly available and inexpensive natural supplements, along with healthy modificatioins in diet, exercise and lifestyle.
And what are the supplements? Milk thistle (silymarin), alpha-lipoic acid and selenium - all commonly available and inexpensive. I have used milk thistle for years, after reading long ago that it was deemed effective at not only protecting the liver but also in regenerating damaged livers by the German E Commission (their equivalent of the FDA). Now I take all three supplements to help offset a fondness for another natural substance - blue agave (smile).
In treating any disease or illness, it is usually an excellent idea to cleanse the body of toxins (toxins help promote disease and retard healing). A liver cleanse is a very good procedure to use to help treat hepatitis as well as a good one for anyone to use as part of a healthy anti-disease lifestyle. And, since good health begins in the gut, the same holds true for cleansing the colon. Liver and colon cleanses are widely available online and at retail natural health product outlets.
Live long, live healthy, live happy!

Like it or not anyone wearing a hat today is making a fashion statement, simply because not many people wear them these days on a daily basis, apart from the ubiquitous baseball cap.
Many women feel uncomfortable wearing a hat, with the most common reason seemingly that hats "just don't suit them and they don't look right in them".
Perhaps it is just because we don't wear them very often and we just don't know what suits us. So how do women get to a point where they feel comfortable in hats, let alone confident enough to create their own distinctive hat wearing style? And what happens if wearing a hat suddenly becomes a central issue in your life?
For women experiencing hair loss either because of chemotherapy side effects, Alopecia areata or hair thinning, this is exactly what happens and it becomes an additional challenge they face. To cope with this impact of a prolonged period of hair loss, it becomes essential that they feel able to 'manage' their new image and wearing hats or other types of headwear is part of this strategy.
Understanding your face shape is the first step. The shape of your face is a key factor in selecting the best headwear for you. A hat creates a sense of presence and is a way to reflect your personal style. And the way it works with hairstyles is the way it works with hats. Not all hat styles will flatter you, but rest assured there is a style out there that will suit you. The tricky bit is finding it!
FACE SHAPES
Square Face
Whatever style you choose, wear your hat at a slight slant or tilt; this will give a more flattering, asymmetrical look to your face.
Round Face
Do not select hat styles that are narrower than the width of your face i.e. Fez or flower pot shapes. Wider shapes with brims will suit you better. With a round face your hats should only be worn at a slight angle.
Narrow/Long Face
Avoid tall hats, instead try hats with brims (they don't have to be big) just enough to add width around the head. Trims should also add width around the crown section of the hat.
Heart-shaped Face
If you have wide cheekbones or a heart shaped face, you'll look in good in any style, even those head-hugging styles that can be so hard to wear. Wear them straight across the forehead or hairline.
Wide Face
Hats worn off the face work well, tilted towards the back of the head, (think Jackie Onassis and you've captured the style). Hat styles that are naturally worn high on the forehead will always suit you.
Larger Nose
If your nose isn't your favourite feature, wear your hats so that they sit forward on the head (buy styles that give deeper coverage at the nape of the neck), preferably with a brim or peak to draw attention away from it.
N.B Remember these are only guidelines, not hard and fast rules. There are always ways of altering a hat to suit. Trims in particular can change the shape/width of a hat drastically. Colour and fabric texture (print or stripe) also play an important role in 'disguising' the overall shape of the hat.
Trailing round department stores trying on shapes is one option, although if you really don't know what suits you, this can be exhaustive and more than a little disheartening. Another alternative is to ask your friends and family to root out every hat they've ever bought. Then in front of a full-length mirror try them all on, taking a little time to assess each one properly.
The reason for the full-length mirror is that it gives a sense of proportion from hem to waistline and from waistline to neckline. It also allows you to see the hat width or lack of width on your upper body. If you can't find a full-length mirror, find the biggest mirror you can and preferably a hand held mirror as well, so that you can see the back of your head comfortably. (Look into the hand held mirror with your back to the larger mirror and turn your head and the mirror until you can see the back of your head.)
Now you've got the best chance of assessing how you look from all sides, so alter how you're wearing the hats whilst they are on your head. Try them from side to side, on a slant or with a front to back tilt. If a friend is on hand, ask them to look in the mirror with you, rather than at you, before they comment. Because the mirror flattens 'the picture' and you see yourself in two dimensions, it is easier for us to take in the 'full effect', rather than looking directly at the person. If you do that you will end up looking where you always do, at the person's face and not studying the upper body.
Don't give up...
If you are unsuccessful in finding the perfect style from your hoard, take a different view. Try not to view the hat as a single component, but think about it in two parts - the crown and the brim. Compile a picture of all the 'best bits' of the hat, for example, taking the crown from one with the brim of another may 'make' your perfect hat. Or perhaps a side trim that works better than a material drape all the way round the hat.
Once you have a firm idea of what works, start your search in retail outlets and on the web. Don't get waylaid or distracted; you now know what suits you, because you have done your groundwork. It may take a little longer but once you've found 'your style', you can duplicate it, triplicate it and buy it in as many colours to suit your wardrobe. Now you're buying with confidence. Does it look more stylish and fashionable than a simple head-scarf? Without a shadow of a doubt - it will!
Hats that flatter
The key message from the table above is that brims and peaks are easier to wear, and more flattering to more face shapes. When brims are mentioned most women think Ascot 'super saucers', but this needn't be the case. There are styles out there that incorporate small soft brims that mean you don't have to worry about knocking them when you're out in the supermarket or walking around.
If you look better in hats that have detail on one side because it balances your face shape, then don't be afraid to experiment. Look at what accessories you could comfortably wear up there. You may be reading this and thinking "I could never do that".
Well maybe not in the past, but as a woman experiencing significant hair loss you now find yourself with a whole new image to 'manage' and this requires a new approach. Not a theatrical 'make-over', or even close to it, but simply an open-minded approach to review your style potential and experiment with jewellery, accessories and make-up. It may take a little time and a little practise but the benefits to your self-esteem and self-assurance will be immeasurable.

What the heck is going on? What if everyone just admitted that nobody knows! In his post The Age of Uncertainty, Daniel Pinchbeck of Reality Sandwich, has the wisdom to say that he's unsure of what's really going on in the world. That when it comes to many things, from "Who is Obama?" to our prospects for survival, the prevailing mental state is uncertainty. "I don't know" is his mantra. He writes, I don't know if anything special will happen on December 21, 2012. I don't know if I should start a riot or throw a party. I don't know whether to panic or relax.
Too often we think that if we're confused, there's something wrong. But I've heard many people lately say they've lost their sense of direction, or a sense of what's happening. Many are astrologers or other highly intuitive types. It really reminds me of a dark Moon period, when you get sucked into the void, and nothing seems fixed. This breakdown we're in is scrambling reality somehow. And that could be kinda liberating, but it's also extremely disorienting! Serendipitously, I came across the phrase "Improvise your own reality" from two different sources today. What if you can make it up as you go along now....
The breakdown of what we've known can be freeing in many ways. But the collective anxiety is palpable, and if you're sensitive, you probably pick it up. And Pinchbeck's writings express what's probably going on for many, as our minds try to make sense of chaos. He writes, I don't know if we will live to see the birth of such a new worldview as part of a regenerated civilization, or if we only get to see the decline and fall of our current dinosaur. It does seem that ever-increasing numbers of people are done with it and ready to move on, but move on to what? What's happening now really tests how comfortable we each are with uncertainty. And that it's a state that we have to learn to live with somehow, and find the courage just to accept that as part of this bewildering age.
